Jesus, Name Above All Names

One of the modern sins of the rebellious is the lie that Christians do not need any man over them. This lie is usually promoted by the ultra-novice-rebels. They neither served under a man of God nor do they have a history of faithful membership in a church body under a pastor. Many have spent a little time under pastors, but for one reason or another rebel and chase off for another church and pastor where they can be fully independent of pastorial leadership and authority. Basically, they refuse to have any man of God, any Pastor, to rule over them. So they run from church to church, some quit and run around like a lone wolf, barking at everything but never develop into a real leader. Before a man can lead he must learn to follow. That is the divine order.

It is a great virtue to have a man of God in your life whom you can testify was an example of faithfulness, wisdom, truth, and honor. If you find such a man, do not fear following because he will develop you into a man of God like him. If you do not find such a man, you need to look until you do. Then find a place to serve and be humble. It will lead you to the rewards of a man of God.

A Man Who Learned To Follow Before He Began To Lead
