THE TRUTH ABOUT RECKART’S GROUP

[edited]<big><big>Bishop Gary Reckart is from Tampa, Florida. He currently has a Church in Plant City Florida. He is in his 17th year as a missionary to the Philippines. He has conducted missionary work in South Africa, Haiti, and Jamaica. His international outreach has touched over 100 nations [edited].

Bishop Reckart began his Apostolic journey in 1949 at the age of 4 when his mother Donna Strawser Reckart converted from the Methodist and United Brethren churches over to Oneness Pentecostalism in Rivesville, West Virginia. Although she walked several miles from Montana Mines to Rivesville, she brought her children with her. Rain or shine, warm, hot, or cold they made the trip to worship. The same day she was baptized in 1949 she received the gift of the Holy Ghost speaking with tongues.

Gary Reckart grew up in the First Apostolic Church of Rivesville until a new Church was built in Bellview. A Church he helped build at the age of 10. Doing grunt work, digging footers, cleaning the old concrete slab that was once the floor of a garage. For almost eight years he sat under the ministry of Clarence M. Eby, a UPC district leader. It was during this time his heart was touched by the strong preaching of holiness standards, separation from the world, praying and seeking God’s will at the altar. A foundation that until this day in 2008 has not been shaken.

Bishop Reckart served in the US Army from 1963 until 1966 and received an honorable discharge. In 1966 he met his wife Judy and they were married that year. They have been married 54 years. To this union were born 4 children: Gary Jr., Stanley, Donna, and Rachel. Other children were raised by Bishop Reckart and his wife.

From 1968 until 1972 Bishop Reckart was a member of his older brother’s Church in Millville, New Jersey. He served as Sunday School teacher, worship leader, Youth leader, and street evangelist. He preached his first message in 1970 in Tampa, Florida in the UPC church on Fowler Avenue at the invitation of Pastor Cole. The message: “The Wandering Bride.” One soul received the Holy Ghost that Sunday morning.

In 1972 Bishop Reckart felt led to open a pioneer Church in Plant City, Florida. A store front located at 111 South Evers Street was rented. It was here that Bishop Reckart would begin his journey as a controversial man. He ran an add in the local paper that had these words:

“You went to the lodge door seeking light and did not find Jesus. Come to the Endtime Disciples of Jesus Christ and find the Light.”

There was undercurrent in Plant City against me. People he didn’t know spread things about him. Many were influenced to believe the lies. They also joined in the drumbeat.

It is now 2009 and many things have happened in the ministry of Bishop Reckart. He served as a Pastor from 1976 until 1985 in the Terrell, Texas area. During this time he joined the Apostolic Minister’s Fellowship (AMF).

Because of disagreement on women preachers, time of the rapture, pagan holidays, and Communion on New Year’s Eve, he went independent. All of these stands made him an “opinionated, eccentric, and an apostate from main-stream Oneness Pentecostalism.” These words are still used against him. The accusations continue to pour from the mouths of novices trying to make a name for themselves beating the back of Bishop Reckart so they can raise themselves up by casting him down.

He was attacked because he believes in holiness standards;|
He was attacked because he preaches against the use of hallelujah which is not found in the Bible;
He was attacked because he celebrates the Communion only on the Passover, the night the Jews celebrated it when Jesus first introduced his memorial;
He was attacked because he rejected baby baptisms;
He was attacked because he does not believe in the second artificial head coverings of women and young girls;
He was attacked because he preached faith tithing;
He was attacked because he preached the symbol of the Cross is not pagan;
He was attacked because he preached the restoration of all things as delivered by the Apostles;
He was attacked because he was post-trib premillennial;
He was attacked because he believe there is a future millennial of 1,000 years;
He was attacked because of his great knowledge which some claim is conceit and deceit;
He was attacked because of his missionary work in the Philippines;
He was attacked because he rejected the tetragrammatons YHVH/YHWH and the names Jehovah and Yahweh invented from them;
He was attacked because he preached the name of Jesus is not Hebrew, not Aramaic, not Greek, not Latin, and not English: but came down from heaven in the unknown tongue on the lips of an angel. And this name was then transliterated into Hebrew, Greek, and Latin on the Cross;
He was hated because he confessed Jesus came in the flesh and not Jehovah or Yahweh;
He is hated because he refuses to fellowship with any church that has attacked him and or who has stolen members by deceit and lies:

What about his group in the Philippines? Jesus Messieh Fellowship International (JMFI). Is it a group of people worthy of going to hell because it was developed outside of “main-stream Oneness Pentecostalism?” Is this group evil? Are all of the Pastors and Ministers evil because they reject that the UPCI is the bride of Christ?

The truth about the Reckart Group is that it is a beautiful example of what all Oneness Church groups should be.

So when you read or watch accusations against Bishop Reckart, research the source. Who is this man making accusations? What are his doctrines that are contrary to Bishop Reckart? Then you will see the motive behind the sarcastic, arrogant, and ogre statements used to try and destroy the reputation and legacy of a man who claims God sent him.

The Truth About Reckart’s Group is that he and it are very good. He is the husband of one wife. Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues. Living an impeccable life of holiness. A man who has fed his 5,000. Who has clothed the naked. Who has fed the poor. Who has taken care of widows. Who has built several churches for souls to call on the name of Jesus in worship. Who has bought medicine for the sick. Paid hospital bills for the afflicted and hurt. Who has loved and continues to be a man whose love is manifest by his works.

Check out Bishop Reckart and the Reckart Group. Do not measure him by some other man’s measuring stick. The accuser of the brethren may be just like the men from Ireland and Kissimmee who said: “we want to stop Bishop Reckart from what he is doing because we do not want him to be successful.”
